Care and Maintenance of the Straightening Iron

After turning off the hair straightener iron, the ceramic panels will remain hot for a short period of time. Exercise extreme caution when handling the hair iron straightener. Do not touch the iron until it has completely cooled down.

The ceramic panels may be cleaned with a soft cloth and rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner. Never use any abrasive materials that may scratch the ceramic panels of the hair straightener iron. Regular cleaning of the ceramic panels will maintain the straightening iron’s peak performance.

With regular use, the handles may become loose. If this occurs, remove the hinge cover (round cover with “FHI Heat” logo) and tighten down the nut. Make sure to replace the hinge cover when you are done.

Warranty

Your FHI Heat Ceramic Tourmaline Styling Hair Straightener Iron is warranted for one year from the date of purchase against any defects in workmanship or materials. This warranty does not cover (1) physical damage to the straightening iron, (2) submersion of hair straightener iron in water, (3) cord damage due to contact with heated ceramic panels, (4) misuse for other than intended purposes.

FHI Heat Ceramic Tourmaline Styling Hair Straightener Irons may not be used in countries other than the country of purchase. Using a hair iron straightener in countries other than the one in which it was purchased is considered misuse and any damage that is incurred is not covered under warranty.

Returns/exchanges within 30 days of the date of purchase must be resolved with the place of purchase. After 30 days, please contact FHI, Inc. at (877) FHI-HEAT to obtain a Return Authorization Number and return instructions. FHI, Inc. Cannot guarantee the receipt of products shipped without a Return Authorization Number. A proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
