Blow Drying Hair
Blow drying hair has become necessary for a lot of people. Applying heat to hair on a regular basis must be done properly and with the best equipment.
First, apply a thermal protectant and maintain a healthy hair maintenance routine. The Fresh Look Thermal Styling Lotion, Blow Drying Crème and Hair & Skin Oil are formulated to protect hair from heat, add proper moisture, seal cuticles and eliminate frizz so that hair is shiny, bouncy and straight after blow drying.
Second, a good blow dryer can help prevent heat damage. FHI Nano Weight Pro 1800 blow dryers uses a combination of three distinct nano technologies which result in unmatched styling and health benefits for your hair.
-
Nano Titanium – enhances the ionic effect, allowing hair to absorb more moisture for superior conditioning and shine.
-
Nano Titanium Oxide – helps remove chemical pollutants and toxins which build up in your hair from exposure to the elements.
-
Nano Silver – removes harmful or damaging bacteria from hair.
The nano technology in the FHI Pro 1800 blow dryers break down water molecules into micro-fine (atomized) particles that easily penetrate into the hairshaft. While blow drying, the hair’s moisture balance is restored and the cuticle is sealed. Your hair becomes soft and shiny after blow drying! Negative ions reduce frizz for smoother, silkier hair.
Blow Drying Instructions:
-
Towel dry hair until it is damp.
-
Apply thermal protectant to palm of hand. Rub hands together and then apply protectant to hair.
-
Section hair into four sections, for instance two sections on top and two in the back. If you want straight hair, use a blow dryer with a comb attachment for better distribution of heat. You can achieve a sleeker straighter look with a comb attachment. If hair is curly, use a diffuser attachment to keep curls in place.
-
Dry one section at a time on high heat starting with the roots, which takes longer to dry. Dryers should be at least 6 inches away from hair if not using an attachment. As the hair dries work down to the ends on a lower setting. The ends of your hair tend to dry faster. If they are over heated they could become brittle and result in split ends.
-
If not using any type of attachments, make sure you wave the blow dryer back and forth to prevent scorching of the hair and burning of your scalp.
-
Another way to blow dry hair is by using a round brush on the bottom of hair, brushing in a downward motion while blow drying over the hair in the same direction. Remember never to blow dry in an upward motion because it could cause hair to frizz.
Tips:
-
Never blow dry your hair when it is dripping wet. Towel dry first.
-
Always blow dry in a downward motion and in one direction. This will help prevent frizz and split ends.
-
Apply a thermal protectant before blow drying to prevent heat damage.
-
Once your hair is thoroughly dry apply a moisturizer to counteract any moisture loss or damage caused by the heat of the blow dryer.
-
Use high technology blow dryers like the FHI Nano Weight Pro 1800 that provide unmatched health and purification benefits for hair.
